Reminder: Louis Plung & Company is Moving This Spring!
And we're staying in the Golden Triangle!
The time is almost here! In a few short months, The Louis Plung & Company team will be moving into our new offices at 20 Stanwix in Downtown Pittsburgh. We plan to be in our new and expanded space by the end of April – more details to follow!
Hosted at the Sheraton Hotel Pittsburgh with over 300 attendees, Audit Supervisor Miranda Safran accepted the Brave Women Project ‘Empower’ Award at the Brave Women Project Pillar Awards on November 15, 2024! The recipient of this award is “the woman who makes you feel you can accomplish great things," and demonstrates confidence and determination.

Congratulations on Retirement!
Carl Bauer
After 45 years of hard work and dedication, Carl Bauer officially retires. He began his career at Love, Scherle, & Bauer in 1970 where he became Managing Partner in 2012 and served in that position until LSB merged into Louis Plung & Co. in 2022.
Marc Levine
Marc has been in the public accounting industry for 42 years— spending the last several years as Tax Director at Louis Plung & Company. He is now working as a trustee and business consultant for a handful of clients.
Rebecca Spiegel
Rebecca retires after spending 42 years at Louis Plung and Company. She started at LPC at the company’s first downtown location in the Law and Finance Building on Fourth and has been an incredibly valuable asset to her clients ever since.

The Louis Plung & Company team are once again partnering with CIBC for a panel discussion on deal preparation. Join us at 3:00 p.m. for an in-depth look into The Art of the LOI. CMO Beth Bershok is moderating, and the panel includes LPC Partner Tom Bakaitus, CIBC Bank USA Managing Director, Annie Westbrook, CIBC U.S. Middle Market Investment Banking Managing Director Chris Larsen, and Managing Director, LitCon Group Rich DuCarme.

The Louis Plung & Company Social Committee is a group that plans and coordinates events and activities to boost office morale, inter-departmental teamwork, and achieve a good work-life balance, while supporting and helping charities within the community. The Social Committee was created almost 10 years ago and its members are of all staff levels and specialties from within the firm.
Thanksgiving Goodie Bags & Holiday Lunch | November 21
To get into the Thanksgiving spirit, the LPC Social Committee set up an arts and crafts station to create and pass out goodie bags to the team. The goodie bags were passed out to everyone at our Thanksgiving Luncheon, which featured a macaroni and cheese bar!
Annual LPC Holiday Party| December 12
This holiday party was one for the books! We hosted the annual LPC holiday party at Olive or Twist on December 12—there was a photo booth, a Steelers ticket raffle, and a Secret Snowflake gift exchange. Huge shoutout to LPC Executive Assistant Dani Blanco for organizing such a fun and entertaining party!
LPC Holiday Ugly Sweater Contest | December 11
It got a tad bit ugly at the LPC office! The team showed up in their ugliest holiday sweater, which the winner got to pick the charity of their choice to make a $100 donation (congrats to LPC Tax Admin Nadine Luther)!

Walk to End Alzheimer's | October 19th
Louis Plung & Company participated in the record-breaking Pittsburgh Walk to End Alzheimer’s on October 19th at Highmark Stadium. The walk raised more than $700,000 – making it one of the Top 30 Alzheimer’s Walks in the country (#26).
The firm had a great time walking and sponsoring the Walk After-Party featuring the Shelley Duff Band.
